Image to Prompt Chrome extension. Effective: 8 September 2026.

Who we are

This policy describes how the Image to Prompt browser extension (“the Extension”) handles information. Project site and contact: https://img2prompt.modelmill.link/.

What we process

The Extension does not create an account and does not ask for your name, email, or payment details.

• Images you choose. When you use Get prompt, Select, or choose a local file, the Extension reads that image (from the page, a link, or your computer), may compress it, and sends it to our reverse-prompt API so a vision model can write a text prompt.
• Website content on the active tab. To pick or capture an image, the Extension may run a short-lived picker on the page and fetch image bytes. It does not scrape your browsing history or send the whole page.
• Generated prompts. The prompt is shown in the Side Panel so you can copy it or continue to create / remix / animate. It is kept in the extension session until you close or reset the panel.
• Optional image upload. If you use Remix, Animate, or Use as reference, a JPEG of the source image is uploaded to object storage via a short-lived signed URL so the next step can open with that image prefilled.

Where data is sent

Production API origin: https://img2prompt.modelmill.link (hosted on Tencent Cloud Serverless Cloud Function in a non-mainland-China region). The function calls a vision-model gateway (TokenHub) to generate the prompt. Optional remix/animate uploads go to the object storage used by that feature, as described above.

We do not sell your images or prompts. We do not use them for advertising. Processors (Tencent Cloud, the model gateway, and the storage used for optional uploads) see data only to provide these features.

Website analytics

The project website at https://img2prompt.modelmill.link/ uses Google Analytics 4 to understand anonymous traffic, such as pages viewed, approximate region, browser/device type, and referral source. This helps us improve the site. The Extension itself does not include Google Analytics.

Google may use cookies or similar technologies to collect and process this website data under its own policies. See Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses data from sites that use its services. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Local storage

The Extension uses Chrome session storage for short-lived UI state (for example which tab to return to). It is not a user profile and is cleared when the browser session ends according to Chrome’s session storage rules.

Permissions

The store listing will request access to sites you visit so the Extension can read images you explicitly select, inject a picker overlay, and open the Side Panel. You can remove the Extension at any time in chrome://extensions.

Children

The Extension is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent age in your country).

Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date at the top will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
